BIO

Having formed after a cross-country move from the East Coast to Southern California, each member brought a unique influence to the band. Influenced by, but not necessarily sounding like the folk music of the 60's, Long Distance Call's sound can be described as a blend of folk, classic and modern rock, drawing on elements of punk and grunge along the way.

LDC has often been compared to such Rock & Roll luminaries as Bob Dylan, The Who, The Ramones, The Rolling Stones and early Van Halen. Their sound is both modern and classic, taking the best of the past, stripping it down and bringing it into the present!

LDC has brought their high energy act to such notable clubs as The Viper Room, The Troubadour, The Key Club, The Derby, The Whiskey A-Go Go, and The Gig in Hollywood and has also established a large and loyal following in San Francisco at the Hotel Utah Saloon and The Make-Out Room.

In September of 2005, LDC independently released a unique double DVD/CD titled "Yesterday's Gone". Complete with live performances, music videos, band interviews and 18 studio tracks, "Yesterday's Gone" provides an up-close and personal look inside Long Distance Call.
