It just comes naturally for Julie Gribble, writing, singing, and performing. But what she loves most is to inspire, to reach people with her music. It’s not uncommon for other aspiring artists to admire her style and presence. They often ask her advice. With her mellow, alternative rock and a twist of Americana country style, Gribble has entranced audiences with her modern stories of life, love and relationships. Audiences connect immediately to the unique lyrics. They’re not the same old love clichés. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Gribble was born with an infectious personality. Music gives her the means to express it. She grew up writing poetry, which led to song writing. After only a dozen guitar lessons, she combined the two. It became her purpose. “I’ve been writing poetry since I was really young and always wanted to find a way to share it. The lyrics have always been such a huge part of my life, inside and out, a way to tell my story. Music has given me that opportunity to speak freely, without limitations,” Gribble said. After college, Gribble moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue her dreams. Julie is promoting herself the old-fashioned way, in other words, “beating the streets” to reach the public. She enjoys seeing the rewards of her hard work. Gribble’s music has been featured on Lifetime movie “Dive at Clauson’s Pier,” popular Nickelodeon shows “Zoey 101,” “Drake and Josh” and their TV movie “Drake & Josh Go to Hollywood,” as well on "South of Nowhere" on Noggin. Guest appearances include “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and “The Tyra Banks Show” in 2005. She received the 2005 LA Music Award for Best Adult Alternative Artist, and has been featured in Music Connection Magazine’s Hot 100 unsigned bands. Her new album Echoes in my Head will be released in early 2007. Traveling solo to promote her current album, Gribble is touring the southeast. Julie recently has been touring the US for events for Barefoot Wine, Hotel Indigo, various clubs, and charity events with organizations such as Boys and Girls Club, Red Fern Farms, Watering Seeds, Atlanta Humane Society, and PAWS. More important than the thrill of an audience, she jumps at the opportunity to support a good cause. Julie’s always there, with her guitar in hand and a smile on her face. It’s not about her name in lights, it’s about telling her stories and touching those along the way. And people want to listen. “She was great, and I'm sure that a lot of us would have taken the rest of the afternoon to kick-back so that we could be mesmerized by her music,” Mike Zendan, Vice President and General Counsel, Muzak, LLC said after she performed at the Corporate Headquarters. FORTHCOMING RELEASE 'Echoes In My Head' - '...Do you remember the old Pringles ad campaign... "you can't eat just one".. Well you just can't listen to one song on this CD..it just keeps getting better with each track...Trust me. "Echoes In My Head” is a follow up to "So Typical.”

This CD feels like a brand new car, so don't just stand back and look at it. Open the doors; get inside and go for a nice ride.....Oh and turn up the sounds...'
(Anthony Frazier, DJ - The Acoustic Hour Radio Show / Nov 2006)

Julie's live performance at Muzak Headquarters in SC - 'Personally, it was a busy week and that session was such
a great way to wind down the week and also keep things in perceptive. She was excellent!'
(Steve Villa, CEO of Muzak)

Gribble sounds as though she’s been doing this for decades. A very polished and talented singer-songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia whose armed with a voice that’s rich and convincing. She’s truly a force to be reckoned with. Her backing band is right on the mark as well with their brand of hard driving acoustic rock. They compliment each other completely and that pushes her songs to a whole new level. I think Miss Gribble is going to do just fine in this business.

(R.J. Oliver - Ear Candy Magazine)

Superstar in the making...'On first listen one might think Julie Gribble was just another one of the myriad of artists on the acoustic underground writing their own music, releasing their own albums and quietly gaining an anonymous following, but there's a special quality here that gives Julie a lift over those artist who picked up a guitar and thought they could perform......Well, I could go on and on, but the album is a real find by an artist who is gonna break out nationally at any time, and from there the sky is the only limit. Get YOUR COPY today!!!!
(Jack LaFrance "rocawayman" - Amazon.com)

'..The thing that amazes me? She's got a fine bunch of songs, a rich and melodic voice, a tight band and her own style, plus some excellent guitar riffs. But she doesn't have a record label. Eh? C'mon music moguls for christ's sake, get her signed. You're the ones missing out!'
(PE - americana UK)

'...Not just a typical beautiful songstress, she has the natural ability to provoke a reaction from within, helping the listener reflect on his or her past adventures through a dreamily journey. Gribble is sexy and emotional. Her sense for storytelling offers raw emotion and, most importantly, appeals to various demographics. Gribble’s astonishing achievement comes without a shortage of energy and suspense. The music keeps you wanting more, reeling you in to the narrative cycle she has created. Her lyrics stand out, with words taken dearly from her heart. Gribble’s knack for writing seems natural and free of restraint.'
(Joseph Vilane - The Rag Magazine)

'...It's clear why Gribble has had high-profile TV placements off her full-length CD, So Close...'
(Music Connection Magazine)

'...Gribble is a work of art, both musically and lyrically, and a true unknown treasure of the LA underground...An obviously gifted guitarist, Gribble mixed styles with ease, flowing from one genre to another.'
(Bob Leggett - Music Connection)

'...The First track "Little Bit Lonely" is the kind of song that transcends generations allowing both mothers and daughters to understand and appreciate its meaning...'
(Goose Creek Gazette)

'Anything but "Typical", I would have to say, Julie's new CD ..the music ... the words ... the structure and the patience .. Listening to it though my IPOD allows for almost an live; intimate experience. Bartender please... has become a favorite... with lots more ... there... listening to Julie's music is like standing in the shade on a bright sunny day..... wait...applause!!'

(Anthony Frazier - Acoustic Hour Radio Show)

This independently released album is a fine introduction to the talents of singer/songwriter Julie Gribble and clocks in at 10 solidly written tracks. Fans and industry alike are calling Julie's music 'real' and 'captivating' and her knack for storytelling is said to offer raw emotion and most importantly, in a way that relates to her audience, whatever the age. An unknown hailing from the LA underground, Atomicduster had the opportunity of auditioning Julie's album 'So Typical' and drew the following conclusions;

T: You know how Barry White's albums used to be referred to as "Music to make luuurve to"? Well, I feel a bit like that with Julie Gribble's stuff; it's got a very sexy, laid back alt.country feel to it and sounds like the musical equivalent of Viagra. She seems to stand apart from any other female singer/songwriter counterparts and bears little resemblance to any of them. In fact, given the pleasingly intelligent lyrics and big, seering choruses after dramatic build ups, I think the closest comparison I could make would be that of Tori Amos with a guitar instead of a piano. Great stuff.

N: There always seemed something that set this apart the first time I played any of this album; not tired, like a Sheryl Crow album might have become, and not just too young like Avril Lavigne might appear. I do like your reference to Tori Amos with a guitar. Although I can't find the same weight in the lyrics, musically this is quite exquisite. 9/10
(Spotlight/Unsigned Artists - Atomic Duster)

Julie sheds the normal and average encasings of pop-rock with her innovative and raw approach to songwriting. As singer/songwriters go, she’s among some of the freshest. Hailing from L.A., she has to stand out from the plethora of other struggling artists. She does this with her captivating vocals, which sing of terrific tales that she pens from experiences she’s had throughout her young life. “So Typical” is a great peek inside one of Los Angeles’ most intriguing female singer/songwriters.
(Editor's Pick - Smother Magazine)

'Julie Gribble is a talented singer- songwriter. Her backing band is strong. Her vocals are rich and reveal pain, loss, and loneliness while they remain uplifting. There is innocence to her writing that allows for a diverse following to appreciate her work.'
(Michael Potvin - Northeast In-Tune Magazine)
